SR-58 at SR-58 west of US-395, Kramer Junction

This is camera 8 of 9 on the Tehachapi Pass strip, in the upper third of the corridor in driving order. The camera sits at about 2,652 feet, on SR-58 at SR-58 west of US-395, Kramer Junction, near Boron, in San Bernardino County. Its frame is the official Caltrans CCTV still for this point on the road, and it refreshes with the state's own feed.

Up here the frame sits in the corridor's real weather. The upper third of Tehachapi Pass is where snow lands first, wind posts first, and closures begin. When this camera shows a clean dry road in a storm, the pass is genuinely workable; when it shows white, believe it over any forecast.

Use this page as one instrument, not the whole panel. Its neighbors in the strip are linked below, two back and two ahead, so you can walk the road in stills before you drive it. The live corridor verdict at the top of this page remains the authority: it folds this camera's stretch of road together with the chain control checkpoints, the closure feed, and the message signs into one answer.
