Storm archive

The big days, kept

No storm closures are in the archive yet. The archive is assembled automatically from the status history log the moment a major event lands: the first full closure of either pass becomes the first entry, with its times taken from the log, not from memory.

Why keep an archive at all

Because pass memory is folklore by spring. Drivers swear the Grapevine closed twenty times last winter, or twice, and neither number survives contact with a log. This archive is the checkable version: when a storm closes a pass, the closure and the reopening are entries with timestamps, and the season's story is told from them. The live record they come from is the status history, and the day of procedure for living through the next one is the storm day playbook.
